Billy Rabbitson

In 1998 Billy’s work in the Raccoon City Headquarters had been noted and it was decided that he should be moved into a new research project, specifically the T-Virus.

On 21 April 1998 Billy was notified that he was going to be transferred to the Chicago Branch and along with 20 other employees were shuttled out to Raccoon City Airport to board a private jet. Shortly after take off the airplane took off, it landed at an airfield just outside Raccoon City. Billy, along with presumably a small handful of other indivduals were then escorted from the landing strip to the Spencer Mansion to continue work on the T-Virus.

The aircraft was then rigged to crash midflight. It soon became apparant that the plane had disappeared and sixteen hours later was discovered in the Great Lakes. Billy’s body was never found but he was presumed dead.

Billy continued to work as requested for Umbrella at the Spencer Mansion when the accident happened in May 1998. Thankfully he was able to hide and ultimately escape the doomed facility.

At around 1AM on 22 July 1998 Billy makes contact with Chris on the phone. He tells Chris that he never really left Raccoon City and was all a cover up! He tells Chris to meet him at Victory Lake.

However, the plan is challenging for Billy as he is tracked by Umbrella and he cannot make his meeting. He would try the next day heading into downtown Raccoon City but making the decision to lure Chris away to a location that only he and Chris would know – the cabin.

He acquires a travel brochure advertising skiing that contained a picture a picturesq cabin and handed it to a local boy. Billy instructs the boy to hand it to Chris who is wondering around the city and tell him “his big bro wanted Chris to have it”.

That did the trick and Billy makes his way to the cabin. Billy arrived first – he had been using the home as a shelter over the past few months and it showed. Beer cans on the floor etc. When he arrived, no-one was there. Billy would then hear disturbances outside and goes to investigate.

At around 19:00 Jill Valentine and Chris arrive looking for Billy but he is nowhere to be found. Chris then leaves to head back to Raccoon City leaving Jill alone. At 19:20 Billy emerges from the woods and meets Jill. Billy is startled but as soon as he learns that she is S.T.A.R.S he relaxes. At that moment the house vibrates as a hoard of zombies begin to attack the dwelling. The two fight back but in the carnage they are separated and whilst Jill remains hidden behind a rock near to the cabin, Billy is forced to flee the scene.

By around 23:30  that evening, Chris has reunited with Jill and the pair had their own encounters with teh undead. Billy is now on the freeway in some distress – the attack had taken its toll and he was severely injured. Billy is clambering towards a small cafe on the road when Chris finally sees Billy. A group of about 5 zombies emerge from the forest. Chris and Jill shoot at the undead. Billy screams to Chris advising him to shoot them in the head.

As a zombie is about to grab him, Billy lunges through a window of the cafe to take shelter but faces a new crisis as a new day begins. A B.O.W waits inside. Billy screams out which Jill and Chris immediately hear. The pair burst in to see most likely an escaped Hunter B.O.W take a chunk out of Billy’s neck and his gut. As Jill fires at the creature, Chris grabs Billy and drags him into the next room. Jill follows suit and uses a steel pipe to barricade them inside.

Facing certain death, Billy tells Chris that it was Umbrella who created the T-Virus and it was the T-Virus that creates the zombies. He thanks Chris for saving him before dying in his arms.
