Chunk

Chunk is the name of the two oversized and powerful zombies that have grown to an enormous size due to their infection with the mutated T-Virus.

The original hosts for “Chunk” were the brothers, Thomas K. Jackson and Timothy B. Jackson. Due to their shared genetic traits, experiments were commissioned to examine the effects of the virus combined with the removal of the natural stimulation within the brain of being filled up and satisfied with food. Such an experiment would have been undertaken either through the removal of the hypothalamus or causing the permanent disruption of the cholecystokinin or other hormones.

Whichever procedure was facilitated, the result saw the subsequent zombies simply consume food relentlessly and grow larger and larger to the point where it caused them to not fit through certain doorways at the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Centre.

This mutation therefore, is similar to that of the Pluto B.O.W which saw Umbrella scientists undertake similiar changes and alterations to the host before the administration of the T-Virus.

Like other mutated T-Virus specimens, Chunk was able to retain some basic memories. One Chunk was recorded at being angered as they felt he was being laughed at, whilst the other Chunk – confined to the clinic’s attic solely saw Leon S. Kennedy as a food item.

Both Chunks were killed during the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Centre outbreak.
