Stoneville

Stoneville is a small-medium sized town located near to Raccoon City, within Arklay County. As one of the surrounding urban centres, Stoneville is connected to Raccoon City via train and possibly even tram.

Little is known about the history of the town, but it is home to the Arklay County sheriff’s office, suggesting it is one of the larger wider county towns. It also has its own Mayor, Finch who gazed longingly at Raccoon City and the wealth that Umbrella had brought to it.

Following the Raccoon City incident, Stoneville was also hit with a small T-Virus outbreak – following overspill from the original Spencer Mansion outbreak, but also from the many infected rats that had fled the doomed city.

During the carnage, Umbrella had taken it upon themselves to barricade Raccoon City, and the mayor saw an opportunity to try and make a deal with Umbrella to set up new operations within Stoneville. However, this never materialised as zombies soon overran the main high street causing signficant damage in the process. Sherry Birkin would end up in Stoneville during the outbreak having been separated from Leon and Claire after she had escaped Raccoon City.

Stoneville is known to have a general store as well as a carpentry sawmil and factory.

As the town was hit by the T-Virus outbreak, Umbrella’s USS teams used helicopters to napalm the town to cover up any involvement and to prevent the further spread of the virus. It can be assumed that as part of Umbrella’s clean up mission post Raccoon City, Stonville was also successfully contained.
